Japan Government Donates Classrooms for School in Chuuk
Presenter of the grant, Counselor Masaki Tani of the Embassy of Japan mentioned in his speech that a child’s first step into schooling is one of the most “critical and vital ones” and learning facilities serve an important role in the process.
In response, Reverend Rosendo Rudolph, Vicar of Catholic Schools in Chuuk stated that with this project “you bring the people of Japan and the people of Chuuk, the Federated States of Micronesia closer together” and concluded that they (St.Ceclia) make the commitment to making this project last beyond the life of the grant.
The ceremony was witnessed by school board members, government officials and students.
