Japanese Government Scholarship for Teacher Training Students is now open

The Ministry of Education, Science, Sports and Culture (MEXT) of Government of Japan offers scholarships to foreign teachers who wish to conduct research on school education at Japanese universities. Applicants must be graduates of universities or teacher training schools and have worked as teachers at elementary or secondary educational institutions or teacher trainings schools for in principle five years in total, as of April 1, 2016.

●Required Documents (Application Deadline: Thursday, February 18, 2016)
-2 Originals of Application Form (See Below )
-3 Photographs (4.5x3.5cm, taken within the past 6 months)
-1 Diploma from the last university attended and certified grade transcript for each academic year at the university.
-1 Certificate of employment
-1 Recommendation from the head of the department that the applicant belongs to. (No specific format)
-1 Health Certificate
●Examination and Interview
Date: Tuesday, February 23
Place: Embassy of Japan in Kolonia, Pohnpei (3F Pami Bldg)
Time: The Examination will start at 9:00am, but we ask that all applicants be at the embassy at 8:45am for orientation.
-English written examination (1 hour)
-Japanese written examination (2hours)
-Interview (15-20 min)
