2026 Diplomatic Friendship Games of Softball
2026/10/30
On October 23-25, the Embassy of Japan in the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) organized Team Japan and participated in the Diplomatic Friendship Games of softball.
This tournament brings together the FSM Department of Foreign Affairs, the diplomatic corps, and international organizations with whom we regularly interact, to promote friendship through sports. With the addition of new teams this year, the tournament was filled with even greater excitement than in previous years.
Our team, consisting of Embassy staff, JICA officials, JICA volunteers, and their family members, competed with outstanding teamwork in every single match. Supported by great cheers, the team successfully clinched second place. Following the tournament, an award ceremony and a reception were held, where participants from all teams congratulated each other and celebrated their efforts.
The Embassy will continue to contribute to the development of friendly relations within the international community through various exchange activities, including sports diplomacy.
