Kolonia Town Constitution Day

On September 21, Mr. and Mrs. Ambassador KAGOMIYA attended the 42nd Constitution Day ceremony of Kolonia Town, Pohnpei State. This year’s theme was, “Our constitution, our foundation, teaching, nurturing and empowering our youth to become responsible citizens for a brighter future.” At the ceremony, speakers included Mr. Kummer S. Biza, Mayor of Kolonia Town, Mr. Akilino Susaia, the Permanent Representative of the Federated States of Micronesia to Geneva and the Ambassador to the EU, and Ms. Yuko Nakasone, Speaker of the Kolonia Town Council. Ms. Herolyn Movick, Acting Governor of Pohnpei State, Mr. Marvin Yamaguchi, Speaker of Pohnpei State Legislature, and the diplomatic corps also participated. The Ambassador hopes for the development of Kolonia Town and wishes to continue collaboration.
