Courtesy Call by Associate Professors and Students of Waseda University School of Social Sciences

On September 7, Ambassador KAGOMIYA received a courtesy call from Dr. Hajime OKUSAKO and Dr. Yoshiko TONEGAWA, Associate Professors from the Waseda University School of Social Sciences, as well as three students studying at Waseda University. Ambassador KAGOMIYA explained the political, economic, and cultural landscape of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), as well as the bilateral relations between Japan and the FSM, and the development cooperation that Japan is providing to the FSM. The students asked various questions regarding the FSM and the bilateral relations, culminating in a beneficial exchange of views.
 
Ambassador KAGOMIYA hopes that the students deepened their understanding of the FSM and that the students’ experiences encountered during their visit to the FSM will help ensure their future endeavors.
