Social Gathering with Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers（JOCV）

On July 31, Ambassador Kagomiya invited 17 JOCV volunteers active in the four states (Yap, Chuuk, Pohnpei, and Kosrae) of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) to the Ambassador’s official residence and held a social gathering.
During the social gathering, five departing volunteers and one new volunteer gave speeches. The departing members spoke about the hardships of their activities, and the new volunteer spoke about their aspirations for future activities.
Ambassador Kagomiya expressed his respect for the past activities of the five departing volunteers and his expectations for the future success of the new volunteer.
