Friendly Match with Pohnpei Soccer Association Kids Club

On June 28, a team comprised of Embassy staff and Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers played a friendly soccer match with the Pohnpei Soccer Association Kids Club (PSAKC). This friendly match was planned in conjunction with the FIFA World Cup 2026 currently being held, and approximately 20 children from the PSAKC participated in the game.
The participants enjoyed playing three short matches as a means of sports exchange marked by fair play and plenty of smiles, fostering connections and strengthening ties across ages and roles through soccer.
