2026 MEXT Scholarship Pre-Departure Orientation

On March 27, the Embassy held a pre-departure orientation for the MEXT scholarship students of the 2026 academic year. The orientation aimed to support the students for a smooth start to their student life in Japan by providing practical information on preparing their mindset for academic success, necessary procedures after arriving in Japan, and adapting to life and culture in Japan.
Following the orientation, a social gathering was held with Ambassador Kagomiya. At the event, the Ambassador warmly encouraged the students, emphasizing the importance of dedicating themselves to their studies and their expected role as bridges promoting friendship and mutual understanding between Japan and the Federated States of Micronesia.
Ambassador Kagomiya sincerely hopes that all the students will have a fulfilling student life in Japan and grow greatly during their time in Japan.
