WHO Representative Visits Ambassador Kagomiya

On March 4, Ambassador Kagomiya received a courtesy call from Dr. Roderico Ofrin, WHO Representative to Micronesia. Dr. Ofrin is based in the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), overseeing the three countries of the Micronesia region: FSM, Palau, and the Marshall Islands.
Ambassador Kagomiya and Dr. Ofrin exchanged views on the medical and health related challenges including vaccinations and non-communicable diseases, and development cooperation that Japan and WHO has been providing to the FSM. Ambassador Kagomiya and Dr. Ofrin also reaffirmed their commitment for Japan and WHO to continue providing assistance to the FSM.
