Emergency Assistance to the FSM in Response to the Oil Leak (Technical Training in Chuuk State)

From February 23 - 24, experts from The Nippon Salvage Co., Ltd. visited Chuuk State to provide technical training on the proper use of emergency relief supplies provided by the Government of Japan to Chuuk State through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in response to the request from the Government of the Federated States of Micronesia.
 
In addition to lectures on the purpose and usage of the provided emergency relief supplies, practical training such as demonstrating how to deploy oil fences outdoors, visiting sites affected by oil spills to assess the current situation, and providing instruction on how to use equipment tailored to the local terrain were conducted.
