Emergency Assistance to the FSM in Response to the Oil Leak

On February 11, the Handover Ceremony for the Emergency Assistance to the Federated States of Micronesia in Response to the Oil Leak was held at the Chuuk State Government Auditorium. The emergency assistance, including emergency relief goods (oil absorbent mats, oil fences, etc.) was provided by the Government of Japan upon the request of the Government of the Federated States of Micronesia, through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Japan provided the emergency assistance to the FSM to support the people affected by the oil leak, in light of the humanitarian perspective and the close relations between Japan and the FSM.
