Third Regular Session of the 24th Congress of the FSM

On January 13, 2026, Ambassador Kagomiya attended the opening session of the Third Regular Session of the 24th Congress of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM). Ambassador Kagomiya attended the session, where President Simina, Vice President Palik, cabinet members of the FSM Government, and members of the diplomatic corps in the FSM were present. This regular session will continue for a period of 20 days.
The oath of office was also held for Senator-elect Andrew Yatilman, former Secretary of Environment, Climate Change and Emergency Management, who was elected in last November’s special election in Yap. Ambassador Kagomiya sincerely congratulates Senator Yatilman’s assumption of office, and looks forward to the continued success of Senator Yatilman, with his deep knowledge and experience having served in the Government for a long time.
