IOM Chief of Mission Visits Ambassador Kagomiya

On December 10, 2025, Ambassador Kagomiya received a courtesy call from Ms. Ewa Naqvi, Chief of Mission of International Organization for Migration (IOM) Micronesia. Ms. Naqvi is based in the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), overseeing the five countries of the Micronesia region: FSM, Palau, Marshall Islands, Nauru, and Kiribati.
Ambassador Kagomiya and Ms. Naqvi exchanged views on the Climate Resilient Community Water Services in the North Pacific Project, funded by the Government of Japan, and implemented by IOM and United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and of the assistance provided to Uman island following the oil leak from a sunken ship in Chuuk lagoon. Ambassador Kagomiya and Ms. Naqvi also reaffirmed their commitment for Japan and IOM to continue providing assistance to the FSM.
