Opening of the Special Session of the Congress of the FSM

On November 10, 2025, Ambassador Kagomiya attended the opening ceremony of the 2nd Special Session of the 24th Congress of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM). The current special session, which was called for by the President to discuss budgetary and other issues, is to be held from the 10th to the 19th of November for 10 days.
In addition to the Senators of the Federated Congress, President Wesley W. Simina, Vice President Aren B. Palik, Secretaries of the Federal Government, Diplomatic Corps and others attended the opening ceremony.
Speaker Esmond B. Moses appointed Senator Yoslyn G. Sigrah as the chairman and
T.H. Senator Perpetua S. Konman, T.H. Senator Merlynn Abello-Alfonso and T.H. Senator Andy Choor as the members of committee to wait on the President, which is to make exchange of views with the Executive Branch.
