FSM 39th Independence Day Celebration

On November 3, 2025, Ambassador Kagomiya attended the 39th Independence Day Ceremony of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) held at the President’s Office Grounds in Palikir.
 
Vice President Aren B. Palik, Senators of Federal Congress, national and state administration officials, community representatives, the Diplomatic Corps and the representatives of International Agencies attended the celebration followed by the highlights including the flag raising ceremony and gun salute by the FSM National Police Guard of Honor.
 
President Wesley Simina, in his remarks, emphasized the strength of unity of the people of FSM by stating “One People, One Flag, One Future”.
 
The students from the College of Micronesia Choir sang the National Anthem “Across All Micronesia”, followed by the vibrant Ohmine Elementary School students Choir and the song “Kampare” performed by the Kosraean Community.
(Notice that the word “Kampare” is originated from a Japanese cheering word “Gambare”.)
 
The Ambassador celebrates FSM’s independence and hopes the friendly relation between Japan and the FSM will strengthen.
