Ambassador Kagomiya Visits M/V Kyowa Stork of Kyowa Shipping

On October 2, 2025, Ambassador Kagomiya visited M/V Kyowa Stork of Kyowa Shipping, which was calling in Pohnpei Port of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM). This vessel is a multi-purpose cargo ship carrying various cargo including shipping containers and is equipped with a ramp for vehicles to be driven on and off the ship. Ambassador Kagomiya was welcomed by the Captain and his crew, received an explanation regarding the cargo transported by the vessel, and toured the vessel.
 
The Micronesia Service Route operated by Kyowa Shipping departs Busan in Korea and Kobe and Yokohama in Japan via Guam to the four states (Chuuk State, Kosrae State, Pohnpei State, and Yap State) of the FSM providing a lifeline delivering essential supplies, where fresh produce are displayed at stores one or two days after the Kyowa Shipping vessels arrive in port, and the people of the FSM look forward to the cargo vessels that support the daily lives of the vessel arriving in port.
 
Ambassador Kagomiya wishes for the vessels of Kyowa Shipping to continue servicing to support the lives of the FSM, and for the safe voyage of the vessels.
