2025/9/24
On September 10, Ambassador Kagomiya received a courtesy call from Professor Matsushima and four students from Reitaku University. The students are active in Japanesia, which is a social contribution project group addressing environmental issues. They engage in exchanges with students from the College of Micronesia (COM) and conduct workshops on waste and environmental issues at local elementary schools.
During the meeting, we exchanged views on environmental issues such as the Federated States of Micronesia’s (FSM) waste and coastal erosion, and we were introduced to an initiative where Reitaku University accepts FSM students for training programs.
Ambassador Kagomiya expressed his commendation for the students' activities and also expressed his high expectations for cultural exchange between COM students and Japan.
