On September 8, Ambassador Kagomiya received a courtesy call from ten students from Ritsumeikan University Student Association “natuRable”. The natuRable, established in 2016, conducts activities both domestically and internationally aimed at improving environmental issues in the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM). Their efforts include environmental awareness campaigns utilizing radio stations in the country, environmental education activities at elementary schools, cultural exchange events such as yukata dressing and sports festivals, and introducing Japanese culture to government agencies.
During the meeting, students introduced its activities, and a lively exchange of views regarding the current situation in the FSM.
Ambassador Kagomiya expressed his respects towards the students' long-standing efforts and expressed his high expectations and encouragement for their commendable efforts.
