Dr. Robert Underwood visits Ambassador Kagomiya

On May 14, 2025, Ambassador Kagomiya received a courtesy call from Dr. Robert Underwood, Chairman of Pacific Center for Island Security, a think tank based in Guam focusing on island security issues in the Pacific region. Dr. Underwood previously served as a delegate to the U.S. House of Representatives and President of the University of Guam.
While Dr. Underwood and Dr. Kenneth Gofigan Kuper, Director of PCIS, explained about PCIS’s ongoing project in the Micronesia region, Ambassador and the two doctors discussed Japan’s development cooperation to the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM).
