Opening Session of the 24th Congress of the FSM

On May 11, 2025, Ambassador Kagomiya attended the opening session of the 24th Congress of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM). The 24^th Congress is composed of four incumbent 4-year term senators and ten 2-year term senators who were elected during the recent March 4^th election. During the opening session, an oath of office for the 2-year term senators was administered, the Speaker, Vice Speaker, and Floor Leader were elected, and the chairpersons of the committees were appointed.
 
Ambassador Kagomiya attended the session along with members of the Diplomatic Corps and representatives of international organizations present in the FSM.
