New volunteers dispatched by JICA

On November 28, Ambassador Kagomiya welcomed 6 Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCV), who have been dispatched by JICA as the Second Batch of JOCV in FY2024 to the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM). The JOCV program is aiming to support economic and social development at grass-roots level and has made a substantial contribution to people- centered development. Among the 6 volunteers, 1 is to be dispatched to Yap State, 3 to Chuuk State and 2 to Pohnpei State. They will be in charge of various activities including education and health.
