Sakura Science WS at Sophia University

On October 4, 2024, Ambassador Kagomiya, participated in a Sakura Science Workshop on 'Food Secure Futures for Island Communities' at Sophia University, Tokyo, Japan.
In the workshop, 7 commentators from the FSM as well as academic experts including Professor Anne McDonald and Professor Ori Akemi of Sophia University discussed ecologically and economically viable community-based aqua culture potentials. They also visited at the aqua culture projects in Amacho, a small island municipality in Oki island, Japan.
Sophia University carried out this project funded by Japan Science and Technology Agency(JST) as well as College of Micronesia Land Grant Central Office.
