Mr. KOMURA Masahiro, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs’s visit to the States of Micronesia

On May 1, Mr. KOMURA Masahiro, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs visited the FSM and paid a courtesy call on H.E. Wezley Simina, President of the FSM and Hon. Lorin Robert, Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the FSM to exchange views on strengthening Japan-the FSM friendship and the 10th Pacific Islands Leaders' Meeting (PALM 10) to be held in July of this year.
On the same day, Mr. KOMURA Masahiro, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs visited the National Emergency Operations Center and was briefed by Hon. Andrew Yatilman, Secretary of Department of Environment, Climate Change and Emergency Management, on the climate change countermeasures project implemented by Japan in cooperation with the UNDP.
On May 2, Mr. KOMURA Masahiro, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs laid a wreath at the memorial monument for the fallen Japanese in Pohnpei.
