On November 30, 2023, Ambassador Kagomiya Nobuo presented his credentials to H.E. Wesley W. Simina, the President of the Federated States of Micronesia at the President Office.

Ambassador Kagomiya stated that he would like to devote himself to strengthening the bilateral relationship and to deepening mutual understanding and trust between the two countries furthermore as the Ambassador of Japan to the Federated States of Micronesia.

H.E. President Simina welcomed Ambassador Kagomiya and expressed his willingness to further deepen the special bond “KIZUNA” between the two countries.

The Ceremony was witnessed by T.H. Esmond Moses, Speaker of the Congress, T.H. Reed B. Oliver, Governor of the Pohnpei State, T.H. Jane Chigiyal, Chief of Staff, T.H. Kandhie A. Elieisar, Special Advisor to the President, T.H. Lorin S. Robert, Secretary of Foreign Affairs, T.H. Rose N. Nakanaga, Secretary of Finance and Administration, and other senior Government Officials, as well as the Heads of Diplomatic Missions.

After the Credential Ceremony, Ambassador Kagomiya paid a courtesy call on President Simina and had exchenged views each other on a multilayered relationship between the two countries.
