Visit to Kosrae by the Ambassador Michigami
2022/11/17
From 24th October, Ambassador Michigami Hisashi had been to Kosrae. His visit was immediate after the border closure due to the COVID-19 was lifted, and he attended the Handover Ceremony of several projects funded by the Government of Japan. Also, he was warmly welcomed, and met with the Governor Carson Sigrah, Senator George Sasaki and the local people. They emphasized ‘the long and special relationship’ between Japan and Kosrae, and showed their gratitude for the Japanese economic assistance. Ambassador Michigami hopes that in addition to the economic cooperation and the government level exchange, the relationship of students, tourism and culture will develop.
