On March 17, two JICA volunteers paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Sobashima Hidenobu upon completion of their work.
Mr. Misawa Masatoshi had worked for mathematics education at the Department of Education in Pohnpei State Government and contributed to the creation of various teaching materials.
Ms. Isozaki Harumi had been engaged in lesson planning consultation, worksheet development, and teacher workshops at Nett Elementary School in Pohnpei State.
Ambassador Sobashima appreciated and thanked Mr. Misawa and Ms. Isozaki for their work.
In addition to these volunteers, Mr. Kitamura Yoshio, a senior volunteer assigned to Yap State Hospital, and Ms. Sasaki Maya, assigned to Gaanelay-Rull Community School in Yap state, who have also completed their terms will be leaving soon.
