Japan Self-Defense Forces Visited the FSM

H.E. Mr. Robert Riley, Ambassador of the U.S. welcomed the Japan Self-Defense Forces
 
  On October 11th 2019, a 14 member delegation of the Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF) led by Major General Imaki Koji arrived Pohnpei by aircraft U-4. The JSDF visited the FSM. H.E. Mr. Sobashima Hidenobu, Ambassador designate of Japan, Mr. Sugiyama Koji, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Japan, H.E. Mr. Robert Riley, the U.S. Ambassador, Ms. Richter, the U.S. Defense Attaché, and among others welcomed them at the airport upon their arrival.

  Ambassador designate Sobashima hosted a reception at a restaurant in Kolonia town. After the greetings by Ambassador designate Sobashima and Major General Imaki, the delegation of the JSDF donated three wheelchairs to the Pohnpei State Hospital. Around 30 guests including the Hon. Lorin Robert, Special Consultant on Foreign Affairs to the President of the FSM, H.E. Mr. George Fraser, Ambassador of Australia, Ambassador Robert Riley of the U.S.A., H.E. Mr. Huang Zheng, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, and Mr. Kapilly Capelle, Director of the Pohnpei State Hospital, attended the reception.
