Courtesy Call by New JICA Volunteers

On 18th July, 7 JICA volunteers paid a courtesy call on Mr. Koji Sugiyama, Charge d'Affaires ad interim.
Ms. Haruka Nozaki will assist local teachers at Fanif elementary school in Yap state.
Mr. Kouichi Hirano will assist women in developing their computer skills at Chuuk Women’s Council in Chuuk state.
Mr. Yuuki Kojima will work on education for Person with Disabilities at Akoyikoyi School in Chuuk state.
Ms. Satomi Souma will assist local teachers at Omine elementary school in Pohnpei state.
Mr. Shouta Yagasaki will assist local teachers at Utwe elementary school in Kosrae state.
Mr. Taiga Tsuboi will assist local teachers at Lela elementary school in Kosrae state.
Mr. Hiroki Tanaka will work on environmental education at KIRMA in Kosrae state.
Mr. Sugiyama, Charge d'Affaires ad interim, encouraged new volunteers to act actively on the basis of local tradition and cultural knowledge. Mr. Shibata, JICA Resident Representative and Embassy staff also presented at the meeting.
