Ambassador’s third official visit to Chuuk State　

Ambassador Sakai made the third official visit to Chuuk State from December 1 to 4. Ambassador Sakai met Governor Mr. Elimo and House Speaker Mr. Oneisom and made an address titled “KIZUNA, Japan & the FSM” at the Senate Chamber : Governor and others expressed their sincere gratitude to Japan’s development aids, which include a most recent provision of excavators and other equipment and a dispath of volunteers to Chuuk State, and their desire for Japan’s further contribution to develop Chuuk State economy. Ambassador Sakai visited Tonoas island, where he inspected a utilization of the excavator provide by Japan, held a KIZUNA speech at Sino Memorial Elementary School and Southern Nemoneas High School and exchaged opinions with principals with regard to current situation of education in remote areas and a way to improve it.
