Ambassador Sakai Courtesy Call on Vice President Yosiwo George

On June 16, Ambassador Masaki Sakai accompanied by Embassy staff paid a courtesy call on FSM Vice President Yosiwo George in the Vice President’s office.
Ambassador Sakai made a small presentation on the “Kizuna” or bonds of friendship between the FSM & Japan and discussed the future plans of Japanese assistance to the FSM.
Vice President George conveyed his appreciation of the strong ties between the two countries by introducing that his first name, Yoshiwo, is Japanese name and expressed his hopes of further building on these ties in the bilateral relations.
Also present during the meeting was Deputy Secretary Brendy Carl from Department of Foreign Affairs and Special Assistant to Vice President, Mr. Herman Semes Jr.
