Japan Night celebrating the 10th PNA Ministerial Meeting

“Japan Night” was held at Japanese Ambassador’s residence in celebrating of the opening of 10th PNA (Party to Nauru Agreement) Ministerial meeting in Pohnpei. PNA ministers, its secretariat, FSM President MR. Christian, Secretaries and others participated.
In his remarks, Japanese Ambassador Mr. Masaki Sakai expressed his gratitude to good working relationship between Japan and PNA in which many issues have been worked out through close dialogues. He also emphasized significant contributions to the FSM economy brought about by a joint venture with Japan by introducing canned tuna produced by that company.
Mr. Brown John, PNA Secretariat, commercial manager of PNA thanked the hosting of Japan night and expressed the desire of PNA to achieve further economic prosperity in its area for example by establishing a cannery which can produce canned tuna introduced today.
