Exchange of Notes for Non-Project Grant Aid between FSM and Japan

On November 4, 2014, the Government of Japan and the FSM Government held a signing ceremony in Tokyo for the Exchange of Notes for a Non-Project Grant Aid for the Provision of Japanese Products manufactured by companies in Japan. The Exchange of Notes were signed by His Excellency Masaki Sakai, Japanese Ambassador to FSM and the Honorable Lorin S. Robert, Secretary of Department of Foreign Affairs, FSM.
 
The project in the amount of one hundred million Japanese yen will be utilized to purchase the products to support and facilitate the FSM’s efforts to improve socioeconomic development while it also aims to enhance recognition of Japanese products made by medium and small sized companies so as to promote business opportunities from Japanese investors. This ceremony marks the fourth Non-Project Grant Aid the FSM government has received from Japan.
 
Japan has been providing assistance to countries in the region including FSM as a good partner. The project is expected to promote FSM’s stability and prosperity.
