Japan Donates Mosquito Nets to the FSM

Responding to the outbreak of dengue fever in the State of Yap, the Government of Japan has provided 1,000 mosquito nets to the FSM government. On February 29th,2012,  the Handing Over Ceremony of the Mosquito Nets was held at the FSM Department of Health and Social Affairs in Palikir attended by Mr. Naoyoshi Sasaki, Resident Representative of JICA and the Honorable Dr. Vita Skilling, the Secretary of the Department of Health and Social Affairs of the FSM. The fibers of the mosquito nets are permeated with unique medicine and these special fibers make the mosquito nets serviceable for 5 years even after being repeatedly washed.
