Exchange of Notes for Non-Project Grant Aid between FSM and Japan

Japanand the Federated States of Micronesia held the signing ceremony for a Non-Project Grant Aid for provision of industrial products on February 22nd, 2012 at the FSM Department of Foreign Affairs conference room. Ambassador Suzuki and the Honorable Lorin S. Robert, Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs attended the ceremony and signed the exchange of notes between Japan and the FSM for the project. The Government of Japan will provide the equal amount of 3.125million USD of industrial products manufactured in the devastated areas of the Great East Japan Earthquake. The Japanese Government aims to offer aids to contribute to both the socioeconomic development of developing countries and also assist the recovery of the Tohoku region’s economy. The FSM was the first recipient of such a  project.
