Recipient of Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarship 2014 Pays Courtesy Call on Ambassador Suzuki
Ms. Christina Toko Shigeta, the recipient of Japanese Government Scholarship 2014 paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Suzuki on March 5th, 2014. During the courtesy call, Ambassador Suzuki encouraged Ms. Shigeta to learn not only the subjects for her major but also Japanese culture and customs as one of the few scholarship recipients from small island countries. Ms. Shigeta responded that although she is a little nervous traveling to Japan on her own, she is determined to make the most of this opportunity.
Ms. Shigeta will take Japanese language courses at JASSO Okasa Japanese Language Education Center for one year, then will start her study of IT Business at Osaka Information and Computer Science College for two years.
