Visit by Student of Japanese Language Program to Ambassador Horie

     On October 9th, Ms. Gillian Shigeta Eiko, a recipient of Japanese Language Program for Overseas Students 2017, visited the Embassy and paid a courtesy call to Ambassador Horie.


     From September 6th to 20th, Ms. Gillian visited Osaka, Hiroshima and Kyoto. She experienced homestay in Osaka, went to the Atomic Bomb Dome and Miyajima in Hiroshima and stayed Ryokan, Japanese style hotel in Kyoto. She also experienced art of weaponless self- defense and other Japanese cultures. It was a great opportunity for her to learn Japan. Showing a lot of pictures, she reported to Ambassador how interesting and fun the program was.

  
     Japanese language Program for Overseas Students is offered by the Japan Foundation and the program is intended to offer FSM students with outstanding Japanese language skills an opportunity to visit Japan so as to deepen their knowledge about the language and its culture. The detail of this program and the schedule for the examination is available at homepage at Embassy of Japan in April every year.
