Courtesy Call by Sophia University Scholarship Student

On July 25, Ms. Liana-NeiLoria Kozue Preston-Irons, who is going to study at the Sophia University as a scholarship student from September for 4 years paid courtesy call on Ambassador Horie. She took   Japanese language classes by a JICA senior volunteer at Xavier High School. She stated that she is very excited to study in Japan, and wants to make friends through Micronesian dance. In response to this, Ambassador Horie encouraged her to use this special opportunity to deepen her knowledge.
Sophia University and Xavier High School have concluded a Memorandum of Understanding for overseas affiliated school for the purpose of supporting the development of human resources in Micronesia and promoting international exchange with Japan. Sophia University has accepted graduate students from Xavier High School on a continuous basis since Autumn Semester in 2014. The scholarship will be jointly covered by the University and Association for Promotion of International Cooperation (APIC).
